I am a passionate advocate for individuals with visual impairments, disabilities, and caregivers. My journey began when I became legally blind at a young age, and ever since, I've dedicated my life to empowering others to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.
I understand the unique challenges faced by both caregivers and individuals with visual impairments. Through our inclusive approach, I seek to bridge the gap between these two entities, fostering understanding, collaboration, and meaningful connections.

I am Victoria "Vickie-Hummingbird" Essner—a devoted Christian wife, mother, and loyal friend. Despite my visual impairment, I've embarked on numerous adventures, exploring the landscapes of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.
One of my most cherished roles is being a caregiver for my husband, a legally-blind Veteran in hospice care.
